Sharon Olsen is an independent, award-winning designer with rich and diverse experience in designing for residential kitchens, baths and interiors. Having lived and worked throughout the United States and in Asia, Sharon’s approach reveals a broad and deep appreciation of the art, architecture, and international design influences of different cultures.

After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Marylhurst University, Sharon worked with a Design/Build firm where she gained experienced in managing the design process from concept to completion. She started Designer’s Edge in 2004 and has remained on the cutting edge of new design products and influences. Sharon is constantly enhancing her offerings through ongoing training and continuing education in her field.  In 2009 she was certified as an Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer by the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

By listening carefully to your needs, dreams and desires, Sharon will create a timeless design that transforms your vision into reality and serves you well for many years to come.

A passion to give back to her community

Sharon is a board member of the Columbia River Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), where she enjoys working with local colleges and universities to support young design students. She was instrumental in helping Portland Community College to achieve NKBA accreditation at their Rock Creek and Sylvania campuses, where she has served as an adjunct faculty member.
